F.A.S.T. stands for Families and Schools Together, and is a superb way of helping parents and children enjoy time together. All the activities are based on research and involve all families singing, playing and eating together. Food is provided by each family in turn and we certainly ate a wonderful variety of food from all around the world. It was such a success that we’re currently putting together a recipe book called “FAST FOOD” which will contain recipes for all the amazing food we ate. Any recipes from any parent would be gratefully received – just imagine – your name & a recipe in a book!!!
Anyway, back to F.A.S.T. – the sessions were weekly for 9 weeks and around 25 families completed the course and graduated! It was a major success and each family received a huge basket of toys and gifts as a thank you for preparing the food.
We are looking for volunteers to help if we decide to run another course so, if you’d like to help please speak to Judith Hall or any member of staff – it’s good fun and you get a certificate at the end!
